Accelerate the recovery of "sea grass" in crisis as 5 "dugongs" die in one month.

Today (18 November 2014), the Andaman Sea Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center released the autopsy results of the dugong that washed ashore at Koh Pu Pier, Krabi Province. The dugong was found to be thin, with barnacles covering its body and no serious wounds or injuries from fishing gear. An examination of the internal organs revealed several observations regarding the heart, such as yellow lumps in the right upper and lower chambers of the heart. The lung tissue was uneven in color and congested with blood. A small amount of “sea grass”, weighing approximately 500 grams, was found in the stomach.
